Hm, good question... for the action I like Anime the most because I often really don't whats going on in Manga fighting scenes. Also being able to hear the voice of the characters and have everything colored rocks.

But as far as the story is concerned I prefer manga. You don't have fillers and other annoying stuff, and it gets to the point more quickly

i like manga more, but anime is ok.  The only full anime I've ever watched was FMA, and that was really good.  Completely different from the manga.

I think that generally manga is better, unless its got a lot of action, in which case the anime is better.  Motion makes all fights better

storywise..manga is always the best because it is what the anime is based off of.  but i enjoy seeing the story unfold in the anime through action.  not just words and pictures..but rather motion.  most anime tend to leave stuff out that should be in it.  overall i like both equally.

Well....When Howl's Moving Castle came out, my friends and I were arguing over whether the book or movie was better, but we came to the conclusion that perhaps whichever we see first might make us biased over the other.

I wonder if this might be the same with anime and manga?

But either way, Sometimes I like the manga better, just because of the details and things you can't find in the anime.  Like in Someday's Dreamers (Mahoutsukai ni Taisetsuna Koto), I prefer the manga more, because of the watercolor and copics they use that they don't have in the anime.

In the case of Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou (Yokohama Shopping Log/Quiet Country Cafe/ Cafe Alpha), though, I love the anime more, as each frame looks as if it were originally just a large landscape that had been animated without losing the original watercolor/pastel look.

But it really is up to whoever's doing the reading/watching.  Me, I'm more like one of the kinds of people who appreciate the hard work that the mangaka puts into the manga to get their ideas across.  *shrugs* just my point of view.

(Sorry for such a long post....I might've gotten too into it.....?)

I started off watching Anime on youtube when I caught up to the most recent release and I wanted to find out what happened next.  Finding manga was easier to find once I started looking and it had more detail and I just liked it more.

I agree with that but it may not always be the case since I read GTO manga after watching the anime and find that I like the manga more. (even though the manga is twice as long and with more story involved, I find myself thinking the manga is better)

Well...I actually prefer manga a lil bit more over anime. Anime does have great detail and the scenes move instead of just watching stills like those in manga, PLUS its in color xD, but mangas tend to stay true to the original storyline and doesn't deviate with fillers like in animes. Plus mangas sometimes* have scenes that don't show up in their anime counterparts... but normally its vice versa -______-". Mangas do however have more variety than animes. For example, many great mangas go unnoticed by the public and thus are never made into animes...Justa thought lol maybe i shoulda just made a list, since its clustered >_<
