Question: What do you think of our current releases?
Who care about quality? we want more MORE MOAR FASTER!!!
We like Ossu!'s releases the way they are, keep it up.
The quality of your releases is really so-so, a little more would be nice even if that slow things.
Do whatever you want, your releases are shit anyway.

Here is a crucial question: is quality really important.

We really spend hours to bring you Mx0 in a decent quality, I'd like to know what you think about it. If we were to decide to lower the quality, of course we'd spend less time on it, which also means probably faster releases, but I don't really like that idea...

if you want an idea of what I mean by lq, just look at the raws coming every weeks.

I picked the last, not because your releases are shit mind you, but because you should do whatever the hell you want regarding releases.

Well, the opinion of our readers counts too. in the end we'll do what we want anyway but it's useless to spend all those ours for nothing. if the result of that test was to be 99% for lq release, I would seriously wonder about what to do.

It wasn't on purpose that we didn't release anything for such a long time, we have to deal with each staff member personal life and activities. Besides, trying to release quality from shounen jump scans isn't always an easy thing to do...

personally,i found it difficult to repeats working the same things ,so i'm worrying a ossu change up.
(once after you complete a fast release,is hard to feel excitement to work on a slow release version...)

however,i'm a big fans of speed and japanese(ignore all those small-troubles and reads on)
i think i'll never know what i will real go for if i truty needs english version,
but,i know that's the fact of i don't care much about quilitys as long as the english-tranlation itself are in good shape and no grammer mistake to mislead education .
so ,please don't mind me to vote for speed change .W.
a thank you to ossu team

I really enjoy the quality of your work and I think you should keep going how you have been.  However, this is also in part because I love the series so much.  It's the same as how I don't mind waiting months for one chapter of Hellsing because the series is so great that every chapter is worth it.  And your releases are even better because you usually release more than one chapter at a time. So just keep going how you have been.

yeah, if  a great quality can make this manga released in a long time period, then i think you can release it in 2 version, MQ and HQ...
just a suggestion...

To tell the truth we would like to re-release the whole thing using tankoubons as source, but we have already so many problems to just catch up with the released raws doing 1 version that we kinda let that aside for later.

Well for the reader we just read the manga and toss it away. For me i just care about the translation and little about the quality. Mx0 is like crack and I just want to sniff it up my nose and make my self feel good. I don't care how bad it is I just want more and more Mx0. Oh yea..........

I once got confused as well on the quality issue. I know quite well how the staff focus and work hard on retouching lq-mq raws (usually lq at times with really low ink); that definately has to be respected.

Groups I've met before usually do a lq-mq and save the thought of pure hq work when the tankoubons are released or when a raw is found later on with little work needed. Quality for some fans is well liked but the key is the quality of translation and the story more so than the picture as long as it is noticably easy to read. For the sake of storage for re-reading more hardcore fans love to keep qood quality scans to re-read. Fans also tend to look at very poor quality releases to get an idea of how things are going.

To sum up the large block of text and poorly spoken thoughts of my own, my experience leads to believe that fans would like to get quick versions for appetizement and later love a high quality version from their favorite group. Also, the higher quality is prefered and saved by fans but this version usually goes for the more patient. In short for the summary people would like both but the way things are going is already acceptable.
_____

Just as a note, I am not speaking for any majority as this is just a mixture of a personal opinion and what I noticed by having been an admin/moderator for a large fan forum/site and a number of small forums a while back.

You are making an excelent job with your releases, but, it's been mora than a month since your last release, and i think that's too slow.

If you ask me what i prefer:

1.-Wait for a whole month, keeping the quality, or
2.-Low quality with faster releases.

I prefer the second one.

Personally I would like releases to come a bit quicker, but that's just because this series is so good that I don't want to wait any longer than I need to.

Recently there have been people releasing LQ/MQ versions as well (ch59 and 60). To be honest I downloaded them both and I enjoyed the chapters just as much as I would have if it were your releases instead.

HQ is always good, but due to the excellent story telling of the series it makes up for it in LQ or MQ scanlations as well. Since ossu is scanlating for free I wouldn't demand for perfection everytime, I'll be happy with anything.

If we look at the last page of the first chapter of Mx0 released by Ossu, we can see that it isn't really considered as HQ since you can still see some of the grains on the grey/black parts. Still, to me it isn't too important, I mean I'm still reading it aren't I and so is everybody else on this forum.

To sum it all up, what I would like to see are releases that are quick, with accurate translations and at a quality that is better than the raws but not perfect. There is a system that another group (Franky House, who may also start scanlating this) uses, which is to release chapters quick at LQ/MQ as a test for members who want to join, but at the same time do a HQ release later on the week. Hope my opinion helped Smiley!
