Please be aware of the size limitations as outlined in the forum rules. Avatars need to be 100 x 100 and under ??kb.

# Be Patient and use Common Sense

Don't be impatient so don't keep asking for your avatar, you will get it when you get it.
If you want it sooner then go make it yourself. People are creating avatars on their own free time and as a favor to everyone.

2.1 Do not "bump" your requests. "Bumping" means to repeat a request in order to bring it back on the top of the thread, because it hasn't been fulfilled yet. Avatar makers are not blind and your request has certainly been seen. Its fulfillment depends on various factors, such as having the source available, having enough free time and so on. You even have to take into account that your request might not get fulfilled.

# Please be specific when requesting an animated GIF for an avatar

We're not mind readers. We do not know what you want, so give us something specific to work with. Be detailed about the description and make sure you keep the time frame something like 2-3 seconds long. All animated GIF avatars must fit in under 50KB. Keep the scene short and simple.

Example:
I want an animated GIF from Episode 5 of Bokura ga Ita ... the part where Nana-chan pours a cup of hot chocolate on Yano on Valentine's Day. Time frame: 11:47-11:49. Border: brown.

*A word about YouTube links:

Even though YouTube links to unlicensed Anime are not forbidden in the forums, most avatar creators will ignore your request if you link to a YouTube clip. This is especially true if you are asking for an animated GIF avatar and your source is a YouTube clip. To expedite your request and increase the possibility of it actually being done, use the fan-sub version found via BitTorrent.

# Series with their own Sub Forums

Be aware that most of the popular series do have their own sub forum on AnimeSuki. Since almost every sub forums have an avatar/signature request thread, please post your request there. Examples of famous series with their own sub forums are Bleach and Naruto.

This thread is mainly meant to provide help with all the series that didn't manage to get a sub forum (hence a dedicated request thread) on their own. Posting requests from the other series will only increase the traffic and slow down the working process.

This isn't the thread to discuss software. You'll find all the information you need to get you started making animated GIFs in this thread: How to make your own animated Gifs. You can also find graphic "Tips & Techniques" in this thread: Sig/Avatar tutorials by the makers.
